2019 FEDEX Pilot Expo

Hi all, I was invited to the 2019 pilot expo in PNS next month. I applied on a whim and was invited. Regional FO, no TPIC, military helicopter background, aviation 4 year degree, union committee member, company pilot recruiter. I have 0 expectation to get an interview and I’m not even sure I’m going to go to the expo. I have no application on file with FEDEX.

What should I expect? How many people get an invite to the expo? Looking at the 2018 expo thread they say it has 0 bearing on if you get an interview or any other preference. I have not seen a thread on this years expo yet.

Kind of seems like a waste of time for both parties, but putting your name/face in front of influential folks may eventually pay off.

This is the second instance of hearing about someone getting an invite without an app on file. Really frustrates me because I know several people that have apps on files for YEARS and can't get a peep.
