After TA 2015, our union now has to earn my trust. I was at the meeting couple days ago and they seem to still be happy when the company gets them a little carrot.

And what you omitted (advantageously) is that even if the B fund was a 20% contribution, those many pilots would still get their 72 hours of pay for a maxed out sick and disability bank.

I'm not sure what constitutes many, but it is probably the same number of pilots that sell back the max vacation and trade to plus up their lines by 12 hours.
