Scheduled/Deviation travel after China
FYI if you have traveled to mainland China in the last 14 days and you are flying to the US from an international destination as a passenger... say Europe... (even if you are not coming directly from China) you will have to to go through one of the designated gateway cities EVEN IF you are air crew. You are not exempt from this as a passenger.
These are the following gateway cities:
IAD
EWR
LAX
ORD
DFW
DTW
JFK
SFO
SEA
ATL
HNL
So if you are traveling from any international destination to say PHL, MIA, CLT, etc., you must change your ticket.
Good luck.

I think he is insinuating that Captains may not want to fly with FOs who have been to China. While I haven’t been to China I ate at a buffet in Milan with a Chinese family, so if any Captains want me removed from their trip, feel free to call the DO.

To be clear:
FedEx captains are denying jumpseats to FedEx crews (captains, first officers, RFOs) who are trying to get home out of MEM after a China trip.
The BS level regarding China is high enough without having to deal with this once you finally return stateside.

“Hear” you go again. You are the burning bush on all things airline. Please tell us how much better it was at your previous airline. We will never measure up to your standard. Clearly this company and its pilots are beneath you. Perhaps it’s time to move on to Delta perhaps....

We now have an option to turn down flying in China.
I don’t blame our captains for denying Jumpseats.
I have seen our guys over in Asia and they are not all being safe.
Why should any captains risk their the health of themselves and their crew and risk bringing this home to their families by authorizing Jumpseats if one has been in mainland China?
Somehow the mentality is that Fedex crewmembers are exempt to catching the coronavirus.
it’s just plain wrong that they pay more to put us in unsafe conditions. And if we don’t go, our sick banks or vacation banks get hit if we want a paycheck.
Unfortunately, guys will go for a few extra bucks.
How can all this be legal?
