At Atlas you will spend your ENTIRE career in a widebody! Be a little more specific next time.
I thought specifying “major airline“ was enough. I think it goes without saying that the general populace of pilots looking to end up at the top of the industry don’t seek a WB aircraft for the sake of simply flying it. There’s usually a desire for the highest pay available and that’s where one tends to find them. Go to a single rate like UPS and that dynamic changes, but that’s not the industry standard at this point.
Discussing an airline with WB rates below our 757 rates wasn’t my intent and I think you probably know that. But if you want to muddy a discussion with semantics, that’s your prerogative.

Here you go again being condescending!! WB rates below our 757 rate, I guess you just don’t realize you being that way.

Not sure how stating facts is being condescending…pay rates are easy to look up. I’ve flown with several former Atlas pilots that are now at FedEx…probably more than a dozen. Does that mean Atlas is a bad place to work, no. Does it mean that the total package at FedEx is enough to entice people to give up their seniority at Atlas to start at the bottom of FedEx…yes. Better pay, better retirement, better work rules, better schedule etc. I really don’t think he was being condescending, he didn’t say we are better pilots/better people. He’s simply stating that FedEx is likely considered, by most pilots on average, to be on a different tier of the airline job category than Atlas. Sometimes people just like to have hurt feelings though.

How many of those will be for eventual MD/A300 replacements? Chart goes out to ‘27, with no retirements. MD’s parts especially are becoming difficult to source. Were the A300’s new when purchased or used?

No they aren't. We have several spares and they are rotated in and out of the desert.

It’s a true statement. Atlas is several career moves down the rung compared to FedEx. Just because some end up there as a final job does not make it a career destination for anyone besides a late game career changer or sOmeone with too many skeletons. Get a grip (on reality).
