Stop calling it "sick time" and call it PTO. The current policies are bad incentives especially in a pandemic world.

Please no. I may be wrong, but everywhere I've seen that had "PTO" it's been one bucket of time to use for vacation, sick, whatever. I like my sick leave un-coupled from my vacation, but then again, I only call in sick when I'm sick.
There were some circumstances where you could ‘supplement’ your V-PTO with PTO to be able to bid extra weeks of vacation but otherwise they were separate. |
I'm glad this forum doesn't represent the majority of our pilots. But at least the whiniest have an outlet.

That clown said he worked for a major with unlimited sick time, all you had to do was provide a doctors note. I don't think our pilots would have a problem with that, get sick, go to the doctor and get a note, get paid and don't worry about using up all of your days. Imagine, you wouldn't need a disability bank or insurance. You have a major health issue, and you could go out on sick for years while trying to get your medical back and get 100% pay the whole time. I wonder what major that is/was?

I was at NoWork's carrier. You had to sign a release of all your medical records to the company "doctor". Nobody said what you needed to be to qualify as the company "doctor".

Hey clown. Sick bank didn't cover longer term disability at the previous place. You couldn’t just go out sick for months on end. You better get educated before you speak. The LTD we have at FDX is the best in the industry to my knowledge and we don't pay the premium. Two separate things. So before you go calling names get some education on what we have compared to others.
Hey clown. Did I touch a nerve? I better get educated before I speak or what keyboard tough guy. Lack of education hasn't stopped you from spewing your drivel. You like to call people names, but seem pretty sensitive to it. Tell me what major you worked for and I will compare. You were the one who stated that you had unlimited paid sick. So what is unlimited? You never put any qualifiers on it. I just took it a step further and brought in a long term illness or medical issue. You like making crap up and then scramble to fill in the gaps once you are called out for it. You still like to complain about pilots working extra when you have admitted to working extra yourself. I guess only you can decided when it is ok to work extra or not. Honk Honk! Squeezing that big red nose of yours! :D |

It might be the best now (not sure about that) but it wasn’t about a year ago before a certain regional went out of business. And while we are talking about previous airlines’ policies, that same airline allowed unlimited sick calls as long as you provided a doctor note. And their point policy was publicly published by management. |
Why anyone isn’t already ignoring the NoWork/Starclipper troll is beyond me. I really wish you eejits would stop quoting him…

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Its become somewhat funny. I have been accused of the following. 1.) Being a management plant 2.) Not being a FedEx Pilot 4.) Being a union person 4.) Being a troll All because I dont fall in line with the 12 angry men. So step in line future forum posters. Don’t post anything contradicting the divisive narrative. Don’t post you’re apposing opinion. For if you do you will be tarred and feathered. Its the same posters over and over again that complain about everything under the sun. When you start talking in an echo chamber the conversation gets stale. So im glad I can break up that echo chamber. |

You complain repeatedly with the best of us, especially targeting specific demographic of pilots. So don’t try to make yourself out to something you’re clearly not. |
