OP doesn’t work here. He’s a 15 yr old troll. Closest thing he has to a girlfriend are his grandma’s cats. Pretty sure he might be a Denny’s dishwasher at BQN.

He did AVA at 7 days prior on a big trip that starts this week and goes almost to end of month. Simple

Now he gets paid zero for it. Got what he deserves

Cats have more sense than that - and I hate cats.

Its tough to defend that when it would only incentivize people to do it more during negotiations every time we are in negotiations. So do we want to incentivize more people to do it?

I understand what you are saying. But none of our work rules have a clause in them that make them different when in negotiations, which I’m all for by the way. In general, this is a bad work rule. It would be better if we were pay protected at straight pay for any trip once it’s on our calendar if it’s removed at no fault of the pilot.

I wish we held guarantee for all trips at assignment and not at block out like we do on the premium pay trips. But it is something you know ahead of time. If you want the guarantee fly your schedule.

Now on the COVID rules - yep absolutely - CO should be guaranteeing all trips at assignment if removed for COVID positive...and close contacts while on a trip.

Would this not be rewarding those who do drop and draft? Unintended consequences? Like many have pointed out, do rules like these incentivize those to work harder and for more money? Look at the notorious group doing draft. They don't just do 10 days of it a month. They do 20+ days a month.

How about rules that incentivize those who fly there line and don't chase money. Lets get paid more for what we do, not have to work harder for it.

Really? Is that the excuse you are going to make? We know all work rules ahead of time. That doesn’t mean they can’t or shouldn’t be improved. Otherwise one can use that excuse for not making anything better. Well you knew ahead of time what the rules or so we should event change the rules…

Draft, AVA, picking up open time, voluntary extensions, selling vacation, etc all incentivize that. Are you against all those rules and others as well? What we should negotiate is to turn those things off when we enter section 6.

Improve work rules for those flying their line not those acting like a street corner girl.

I thought you only objected to that during negotiations.
