Express drive significant revenue and any cuts will have significant impacts on margins and profitability. Outsourcing via scope is what scares me. -Bubs

listen to the earnings call. The investors are asking FedEx what they are doing to attract “outside talent”. And not the imbred unibrows that we have now. UPS is case in point and the investors point that out…. Citibank, Stifel, J.P. Morgan’s, etc…….. I think the head shed are all on their way out.

If you wanted to work in logistics and your options are Memphis or Atlanta, one begins to see our problem attracting talent.

Delta doesn't seem to have a problem in ATL.

That’s my point. UPS corporate is in Atlanta. I admit to avoiding Memphis like the plague. Being based in the great white north makes such dreams come true. However, twice I’ve deadheaded out of the land of the delta blues with an employee of corporate that was moving on to other pastures. Neither were in flight ops. They both talked of the intransigence of their bosses and how much they disliked Memphis. Atlanta has grown into a major hub city. It’s not this moose lovers cup of tea. But if my choice was MEM or ATL. Well, crack open a Coke and let’s go to a Braves game.

I was playing tennis with an executive in Collierville and he said there’s ongoing serious discussions of the executive leadership team being based in Omaha, NE. I don’t know how or why or even what that would even mean for the corporation. He said it’s in the final stages of negotiations. It makes no sense to me.

Good seed to start a new rumor of FedEx being bought by Berkshire Hathaway!

But on a serious note, can we outsource our IT please? Pretty sure there’s some junior college IT departments that could do a better job than what both employees and customers currently experience.
