Anyone realize that JB almost costs Express big problems on day one as the new DO? with DD getting canned, JB wanted to address the troops on his BS line of cost saving all while not realizing how the express world turns. Literally marching onto the minefield to address the troops he was risking the airline certification and FAA fines/embarrassment on day 1. FOM, Part 119 has the refs, need to hold ATP to be DO. JB is a mechanic who now will hold the reins of how the pilots will operate. My question, who has the gonads at their little efficiency meetings? Til then I’ll follow him… out of curiosity only

From: Sitting down, I get up and walk around so it just depends
I have heard that had to be brought to the tension of management and told to put that FCIF . All the chiefs aren’t talking to one another. So what job does JB have anyway. Isn’t SVP Flight ops and DO the same? That is what JB and DD signed their love letter as…

Would not surprise me one bit. Maybe JB will get the axe too. And PD the new SVP. At least there would be a pilot at the helm.

You guys are in for a ride….
“Customers could notice the effects of FedEx’s pursuit of efficiencies in instances it “opts for slower but cheaper freight transportation through its own network while relying less on faster but more expensive” third-party services, said CFRA Research Vice President Colin Scarola in an email. However, the largest cost-savings move is likely to be Express downsizing its flight operations as demand continues to fall, he added.
“Because most of the DRIVE cost cutting will be tied to shrinking Express volume, and not be matched with organic growth, the long-term profit trend for FedEx is not likely to be great even with a successful DRIVE initiative, in our view,” Scarola said.

Also, he hinted he was FDX back in May when he was talking trash in the UA forums.
As to the content, yeah, we work in the airline business and should always be prepared to deal with interesting times…

Sounds like NoWorkAllLies found a new user name to troll with from his mom's basement.
