Don’t be so sure. You have negligible scope. Raj knows it and Atlas also knows it.

It’s not as simple as WB CA X years earlier. This discussion is about living in AAs largest domicile where NB guys can absolutely clean up, vs commuting for life. And I’d bet $/TAFB would sway even further towards AA over a career in this scenario.

If this were about commute vs commute, yes I agree.

For consideration…massive growth planned for AA at DFW with a whole new terminal and 24 new gates in the fastest growing metro region in the country.

I will add "massive WB Captain retirements" in next 3 years. This will toss current, and past "takes forever to upgrade to WB Captain at AA" statements out the window.

Like anything else in aviation, subject to change, and past performance is not indicative of future results.

You should definitely go to Dallas and fly for American. It might have been a question prior to the TA, but not now. Best of luck to you and your family.

Default Thanks for the insight!

Thank you all for the help. With our TA, it seems that AA is the better option. Best of luck to everyone!

Consider yourself lucky to have the option. Old FedEx is dead and gone under new management/“leadership”. Widebody captain upgrades are gone. We’re about to downsize and outsource to oblivion with this TA ratification . At 8 years in, I hope stagnation is all I feel for the next decade. so many pilots don’t realize what the regionals did to the majors post 9/11, but they’re about to. #voteno
