When it became apparent that Scope was trending higher on the priority list, this group did not acknowledge it, and plowed straight ahead. Might have been wise to get some input from the junior crowd at that point. Now we're 4 days out, and it sure seems like they don't have the votes.

Don't fall for the fear.

Yes, don't fall for the fear coming from social media. The last poll that was done was late last fall. If you didn't participate, that is your fault.

The only poll that matters is closing on Monday.

Which is exactly why I said, initial polling. I did participate, and listed Scope as my number 1 priority. Many others did as well I would guess, but the Retirement ship could not be stopped at that point.

Either way the TA should never have made it past the MEC. It would have been far more advantageous to stop it there. And MEC Chair should probably send out the dissenting views from former NC and MEC members to get a true pro/con look instead of only the pro views. Makes it look way more like the sell job that it is.

You might have put that as a priority to you in the polling, but you have no idea what the other 5800+ said was important to them. I bet scope didn't crack the top 5 in that polling. Most of the chatter on here didn't start until February or March, coincidentally around the time of the bid and Delta TA.

No doubt about what other people said was important. Was responding to your statement that "if you didn't participate, that is your fault."...Most here did.

My main point earlier is, that the MEC Chair is only submitting statements of the pro viewpoint and not the con. Then, in one of the statements from a former MEC Chair, he complains about "it is not being as easy as they make it out in their social-media kingdom." Well, where the F are people supposed to get the whole picture if everything is all a one sided show from the union?

There are give and takes. And there are way more gives in this thing than takes. Hell, we just hired the Czar of Anti-Scope three days ago as the CFO, and hand him BLOCK V CREDIT on his first day!

Don't know what else to say. Vote your conscience. Should make it an easy no.

Have you visited the TA website, it gives cons as well as pro's. So when are you going to demand that the crowd trying to sell a NO vote provide some pro's to the TA?

I have, and after careful consideration, my conscience was happy with YES!

Pretty hard to see any pro's. 1 pro for the retirement folks and it immediately is neutered by denying it to new hires. It is a bad deal! You and Leeroy Jenkins baffle the rest of us.

I find the recent posts on JF touting their yes votes a little disingenuous. A Hail Mary of sorts requested by friends in high places. Where were those guys the last month when we were asking for honest and legit debate? When you avoid the debate and swoop in last minute (while the MEC chair publishes his last minute pleas) it just doesn’t seem all that genuine. Maybe the timing is just a coincidence, but I think not.
