Default Fear of flying

Hi all,
Does anybody happen to know of a fear of flying course in SOCAL. I have been told an AS Captain runs such a course but I dont have any contact details.

A friend is hoping to visit family in europe but has been postponing such a trip for . . . . about 35 years due fear of flying.

Regards

There are scarier things, like dividing by zero.

35 years of life and experiences gone because of a fear of something that happens tens of thousands of tiems a day....

Another option would be to just buy them a discovery flight. Maybe some happy pills etc.. Cheaper than a psych consult!

This is actually a great idea. I did this to my dad who was scared of airliners. After a discovery flight in a 172, he says the airliners are much safer because they're more advanced.

This is my comparison:

Small fishing/wakeboarding boat:cruise ship as 172:airliner

scarier to go on the smaller one, after that the big one feels almost like home.
