Source for that info is a family member of mine is friends with a VP at wesyer global. They told him get all MD-11 (21 OF THEM) ready to fly and parts list availability bc they entering into long-term contract negotiations with FedEx.

Didn’t an NC member at one of the roadshows say FedEx wasn’t entering any wet leases the rest of the year? The same who said wet leasing was 2x expensive and 15-20% less reliable?

however, I suppose this alleged contract won’t finalize until beginning of next year…

Western Global only has 17 MD-11’s including 2 in the boneyard. 🙄

The problem isn’t the airplanes, it’s the certificate. Thank god we didn’t lock anything in with 1.0.

The path forward is crystal clear. Scope or Strike.

That MUST be our line in the sand.

There is nothing else otherwise.

lol. Even if we did clear all the hurdles we’d have to clear by law to be authorized to strike, do you really think Biden and/or Congress would allow it to last longer than .1 seconds? And if you are suggesting job actions are a possibility you may want to reread the warning at the top of this forum.

I just mentioned why the company may have entered into a contract, I didn’t say I endorsed or wanted any job actions. Nice job reading into my post.

Something is scheduled to takes place at the end of 2024; I am sure either party do not want to **** off labor unions. This is the optimum time to go with the strike vote and approach the admin for approval. If they want to the labor union votes they will approve of it.

If UPS can strike, so can we.
FedEx is not as important as many think it is.
