No. Despite posturing from the 12 angry pilots on the "TA1.01 NOW!" side, and the 12 angry pilots on the "burn it down" side, common sense rules the day. Negotiations will go on as scheduled, while HOPEFULLY in the background a new NC is being recruited and trained and will replace the TA1.0 NC at the APPROPRIATE time.

I don’t think this was ever proven.

Two reps that got recalled voted in the interim elections. After they were recalled, they were re-assigned to new blocks. Some folks think they shouldn’t be allowed to vote in their old blocks. But others say that the bylaws allow to them to vote on their previous blocks.

I haven’t read the bylaws, so I don’t know.

Well, logically, if they were re-assigned to new blocks, they were no longer in their previous blocks, and so they should not be allowed to vote, except in their new blocks. This might be important in the election that resulted in two ties, before people had to leave for jumpseats and it was finally decided.

If the bylaws allow them to vote in their previous blocks, than it is time to fix the bylaws.

My biggest takeaway from this entire gong show from the hard sell of the poor TA to the recalls replacement and voting process of our MEC reps is the complete lack of support or direction from ALPA national leaving it all on the shoulders of FDX ALPA and the pilot group to figure out.

We should drop those blood sucking vampires like a rock. They do not represent our best interests and are just essentially an extension of the mediator we are working with. Play nice get a deal and continue paying us your dues dollars.

You are correct. ALPA National only cares about our dues money. We should be in an all cargo pilot union, instead of one that spends our money to advance the desires of the pax carriers.

IPA has always been very impressive as a union. Teaming up with them makes logical sense.

the IPA has no interest in teaming up with anyone. They will tell you straight up, they are happy on their own.
