Default Divide and Conquer

Copied a comment regarding our union. Your dues money well spent.

"'Divide and Conquer' is a tactic used by management against Unions. It's amazing to see you guys using it amongst yourself. As an outsider with a keen interest in your negotiations, I'm amazed at all the threats and dire predictions hurled at the pilot force NOT BY MANAGEMENT BUT BY YOUR OWN UNION! Now, you're imploding on yourselves, while FDX management is laughing as you do their dirty work! Incredible."

Another comment. "The point of this thread is that management has actually started doing their own dirty work by creating a WhatsApp group for those loyal to them. Up until lately management has been quiet and letting the union do all their work for them. But now they’re beginning to lose control of the union so that strategy doesn’t work anymore."

Our most previous union was far too cozy with the opposition, which is the primary reason why PM should go. Secondly, he’s far too committed to the pancake plan, and if this ever comes to pass, god forbid, who’s going to make the batter, flip the cakes, and serve ‘em up toasty hot? There’s gotta be a lot of dough in a gig like that, far more than flying the line!

NC Chairman PM pulls in 98 CH per month regardless of bid month duration. PM is also NOQ. In the current low BLG environment, how many pilots achieve this monthly?

I hit min BLG like 99% of the crew force.
Been here well over 20 years.

Now you understand the motivation to attempt to hang on and justify a continuance as NC Chairman. This is paid out of our monthly ALPA dues.

Do you see the value PM brings to our union?
I certainly don’t see it.
Do you trust PM to deliver the contract we deserve?
I certainly don’t trust his ability to deliver a landslide or even marginal TA 2.0
Did PM say he would step down with a failed TA?
The answer is yes.
Did it happen?
Answer: No.

Why not?
Pretty simple answer.
Arrogance and greed among many other descriptions.

Disclaimer: this is my first post since the 2015 contract. Different username. If I have to explain why, then you need to WakeUp.

I really hope we split the retirement. Not everyone wants a pension bump.

True, Large demographic spread. One plan doesn't fit everyone. Just need to make sure that the new plan is value equivalent. I hear guys say they want delta's plan of 18% with cash over cap. That would be a huge give back.

Doesn't account for Delta's profit sharing which averages 10% since 2006. That’s an extra 2% pensionable contributions which takes theirs closer to 20%. Our retirement was better in 2015. Needs to be superior this next TA. The failed TA was not.
