Have you seen Madonna lately? Ugh

The postal contract will be retained by FedEx. However, I agree the volumes will be less. Than the previous contracts. Not really worried at all since FedEx saw this coming two years ago. I'm more worried for DeJoy and and his journey to profitability.

Louder for those in the back. It is so easy to see the news of volume contractions and get spun up. Our company has been saying for several financial quarterly meetings that they expected these Postal headwinds and planned for it. The plan will be revealed to us more once we have a contract, until then expect more “I am poor”, “volumes are down”, “leverage never exists” stories from all sides.

But if you read this website a lot of our pilots think the Postal Contract negotiations are leverage for our contract negotiations. The company is going to want to get our contract signed so they can negotiate more effectively with the Post Office. But if we all agree now that the Postal Contract is basically dead, or at best a fraction of what it used to be, then it really won't help us as leverage for TA 2.0. I happen to agree with that.
Keep an eye on the timelines. Our current postal contract expires this September. So "the plan" will be obvious by that date whether we have a new TA or not.

About as nasty as our government.

Trump hates the Postal Service. If elected he will eliminate the agency.

Of course, any contracts that existed will go too...

Trump was President for four years. He says a lot of things.
I’ll leave it at that. Other than to say the country would probably be better off if politicians had to retire at 65.

Have to amend the Constitution first.

oh jeez…ok…and he didn’t do that last time because? He’s not getting rid of the postal service - he doesn’t have the power of the purse. Grow up.

So if the postal service is eliminated then where will all that volume go..? Private companies? Like FedEx ?
