4a2c probably got hired around the late late 90s, or very early 2000s, at a very young age, and would have benefitted from TA2023 in an outsized manner compared to the rest of the pilot group by getting the full 130k pension amount while also getting 20 years or so of MBCBP contributions and still have the 401k as well. Truly would have been a sweatheart deal for her. Whatever comes next probably won't be as good of a deal for someone in that narrow situation. Once you understand that, you'll understand why she's so upset that TA2023 failed.

I can't see it now, a nice little screenshot (blurred appropriately) with the screen above the execs head saying "see FDX this is what your pilots think of your actions". mic drop by the new MEC comm team. Maybe they can engage bevis and butthead since they are back on the scene with the latest SNL skit. This ain't SWAPA and btw those that think mean tweets got them their CBA need a review of their medical qualification, it was not the mean tweets it was the pilot attrition that got them theirs. It worked too, they stopped hiring altogether since no one is leaving, not that they can bnow anyway.
I wonder what “real job” would be suitable for you, seeing how anger and bitterness aren’t exactly what companies are looking for these days. maybe you can find a gig where you can $hit on your fellow employees for not agreeing to exchange their QOL, perhaps even their jobs given the proposed scope, for your retirement. maybe you can be the CEO of a consulting firm with the main goal of union busting, seeing how your thoughts and words are wholly detrimental to OUR union. maybe you can earn a living crying in your chardonnay. what do you honestly see when you look in the mirror? aside from a five o’clock shadow and nose hairs? never mind the zits, what about the windows to your soul. do you have a soul or is it all Harleys and beer?

I have never said I was so disappointed that TA1 failed, you think you know me, but I definitely know you, and to the other posters question, the issue is that the New MEC is making promises it cannot bring. They continue to underestimate our position(s) in the world, most notably, that we are NOT nor will ever be in direct bargaining until the next CBA. There are only two ways out of the NMB grasp and they don't have the fire power to wait out a release and even if we got one (in years) they would falter in execution as the Company would likely have such a battle plan in place it would scare people so badly that the lines would be crossed faster than pilots at free MGT pizza events. What they need to do is settle this deal, as quickly as possible, before we lose more ground/money and get that timer going to get back into direct bargaining for the next deal.

How is it going so far ? What dates are on the schedule ? oh ya, none.

Tick tock TCT, TC, CC, JT and the rest of the tough guys.

Crossing lines is crossing the line, and I think you meant to say, the MEC is overestimating our position in the world, whereas you are clearly underestimating the new union leadership.

Spot on. And Jose, has been a union bootlicker for decades, hardly the guy we need at the helm.

It was the decision of the Previous NC and MEC to enter expedited mediation on 09/29/2022. That's how we got in the "grasp" of the NMB. So direct you fire at those who put us in this position. It was their statements the company used as a cudgel in response to our proffer of arbitration and request for release. Not a single one of them has taken reponsibility for those actions or shown the slightest bit of regret. In fact they want to complain about the process and the membership unwilling to cosign their bad deal.

Counting money that was never yours is a fools errand and publicly entreating the current leadership "settle this deal, as quickly as possible, before we lose more ground/money" is just what management wants to hear. It is a sad and pathetic state of affairs.

Once the book deal gets announced, it will all make sense.

I hear they chose the title already:

"Collectively Bargain in The Most Unsuccessful Manner, a How-To Guide" written by CN, PM, RB, et al.

We aren't in the "grasp" of the NMB, its a normal process of the the RLA. Both sides have to negotiate in, "Good Faith". Our side decided to go Nuke Option, not going to get anywhere with that. The last NC and MEC did what the polling showed, didn't get the vote. So we regroup. Pension increase, not going to happen if we want pay increases. And I'll say it again and again, Our pilot group scewed us by working extra during coving and record loads, but hey, thats in the past.
