UPS.

That poster is a UPS pilot, replying to the quoted post in the FDX subforum, about UPS and content of its earnings call today.

So you would want a national longevity list, not a national seniority list.

i don’t believe a national seniority list would work. A new hire would come in and be more senior to someone who’s been at the company for 10 years. Get a captain upgrade before you, or even bump you out of your seat, better schedule, holidays off etc…
At least with longevity matching you are able to swap employers and still pay your bills from day 1.

Be careful with rumors, even if they come from FS. We used to say “don’t believe them until it’s painted purple and loaded with freight on the ramp” however the loss of our jobs to ASL shows that even that isn’t good enough anymore.

Until the rumors manifest themselves with revenue freight loaded and a non-management pilot working the tiller, don’t make decisions based on them. Until then, they’re just like checks. They may clear, they may bounce.

Buttering us up to vote in a mediocre deal this summer? Even if industry standard pay rates were offered, the abuse of work rules, 4A2, and outsourcing removes much of that boost.

So is FedEx ahead of the curve on its direction and UPS lagging? Or if FedEx a dumpster fire and everyone should leave?
