Cutler lives rent free in your head.
JB and Dr Dimento must laugh at the fact that someone is actually taking their Baghdad Bob schtick seriously. You're a great crowd, EMB, by which I mean perhaps the most credulous person here.

I'd certainly love to see different data, but from my perspective, its not there. These kind of spinoffs are usually just value harvesting from the core enterprise.

Ahh, the best and brightest respond, love this place!!!
Uh no…simple search will get you an answer instead of being a smart-ass…

.FedEx has filed a Form 10 registration statement with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) for the planned spin-off of FedEx Freight.
• The company expects the spin-off to be completed on June 1, 2026, subject to final board approval and customary conditions, with FedEx Freight’s stock likely to be listed on the NYSE.
• FedEx has also taken steps like pricing a significant senior note offering to finance the transaction and naming leadership and a board for the future independent company. The spin-off has been publicly announced, is underway, and is expected to be completed in mid-2026.
So, instead of smart ass comments, I was going to start a discussion on what this would mean for us, and possible implications IF Freight acquires aircraft.

I think we may now have our answer to why it was so important to get the word "express" off of everything. Now you'll be able to drop a package off at the FedEx store which is a front for two different shippers, Freight and Express. When the customer asks for the cheapest option the package ends up on FDX freight (which is also just called FedEx since we keep the express/freight/ltl/custom off of the title). FDX (secretly freight, not the one you work for) sends the stuff on their ASL/Sun Country/Kalitta/Atlas/AmeriJet/etc contract carrier. In the meantime, our operation is slowly dismantled, a process which has clearly begun already.
For those that remember, this may be a TranStates/GoJet situation with the second airline jjust being a conglomeration of contractors.
