The last two posters have two very valid points. My FEX was going to expire this summer, so I retook the exam in March. I guess even though I'm proactive, according to FedEx I lack integrity based on my profile and exam dates. Therefore, I'm not to expect a call.

Bud of mine just told me that a female co-pilot of his was recently hired and didn't meet the published flight time mins. Said she went to a WIA conference and that opened the door for her.

I'M NOT trying to hijack the thread and turn it into a misogynistic fueled rant. Just trying to point out that everybody on this board is worried about flight times and written test when maybe proactively networking is just as, if not, more important. Maybe attending a job fare ain't a bad idea. Anyone know if FedEx regularly sends reps to those job fairs?

I'd be very surprised if that were actually true. I think your bud may be mistaken.

They do; I've seen them at job fairs over the years. It didn't get me an interview, that I know of, but worth the effort for a better chance.

If you want to improve your chances at FedEx I'd go meet the recruiters wherever they go. One never knows!

They only did that for a few years, back in the mid-nineties. And it cost them an MD10.

Corporate Flight Department at FDX? What is that all about?
Can you get hired to fly Fred Smith's private jet, then transfer to fly the line with cargo? (more fun than flying Fred I imagine)

Short answer ... yes, yes and yes. I've flown with several guys that have done it. I'll let one of them provide the specific details.
