They already have.

Thanks Fedex. Watched a couple years ago while Delta hired people who had never sat left seat therefore never made a command decision at an airline. All the while many great, highly-qualified, experienced Captains were passed by.

Could you please clarify who these individuals are that never sat right seat because I don't know them. Are you suggesting military/fighter type pilots?

My DAL class was 55% Part 121 regional, 25% military, and the rest corporate/private types. Of the military, most had heavy backgrounds (DC-10, B737, B707, BE1900, BE400, MU300, GIV, GV typed).

I know of two people (one at DAL, one at CAL) who did not have 1000 PIC when they were hired. They of course were related to high echelon management types.

They looked at you Say Again, unfortunately they only had three slots, so they hired a astronaut, a Blue Angel and a squadron commander. Just so you know, our classes this year have been over 50 percent civilian

And one of those guys was the Blue Angels' squadron commander, so he counted for two people and gets two of the three slots to himself.

Left? Right? Everyone knows the best pilots come from airplanes with only one seat and it's right in the center. Of the universe.

actually the best come from those powered by round engines, equipped with tailwheels, no matter where the seat is, left, center, whatever;)
