This seems to be the most impossible part with any airline application now days...

Same at ups nowadays... My understanding is that many companies have "outsourced" the initial candidate selection to computer software companies in order to protect themselves from possible discrimination lawsuits..

Any idea of what weight attending a job fair (OBAP) may have for someone chasing the dream at FedEx? I talked to John (HR) and Rob (CP) at the career fair hoping to get my app noticed. Any idea of what happens (if anything) when you attend a conference?

Does it help to put letters of rec in the portion of the app where you upload your resume or should you just stick to FedEx pilot only recommendations in the fedex rec part of the app? Thanks!

Will FedEx hire pilots with online degrees?

"Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university"

I get that. However some airlines are more conservative about how you get your degree than others.

I've never understood why we require a college degree to fly an airliner. The best pilot that I know doesn't have a college degree and he's smarter about aviation and can fly a jet better than anyone I've ever seen.

Sorry to be a downer but we are just line folks.. None of us really know. We hear things and pass it on but we don't definatively have the answers y'all are looking for.. Good luck.

Maybe asks the folks at the job fairs..
