Abbreviated:

If the airport is serviced only by SWA or RJ's, they can schedule you on those.

It might be 5 hours...its something like that. Again the point being its not automatic. I don't deal with it much so a little hazy on it.

If it's over the contractual time, they have to schedule for the first/business if the service exists.

The company is more and more trying to build lines with us JS'ing on company aircraft. As we say on the line, "They got us on that one". You leave a loophole and UPS will drive a truck through it. Meaning and Intent mean little to UPS. BOHICA.

I would not be able to venture a percentage guess of how many trips are built nowadays with company DH on company airplanes. But its more than it used to be. And in UPS' world? Hands down.........if they could do it 100% of the time, they'd do it. Suffice to say its more than it used to be.

It's possible that a UPS TA "might" have helped our negotiating position. That said, why are we sparring with UPS pilots?

My apologies for stirring the pot. I think fly did an excellent job explaining the general contract. I almost always get a comm dh to start and end my trips.

Best of luck with the TA. I hope you vote it down and we get a contract a bit better and you leapfrog us after that. I think 300/hr for Capt pay has to be an immediate thing. That's about a 14% raise. It's absolutely crazy your TA rates are below the rates Delta rejected in their TA. WE SHOULD MAKE MORE THAN THE PAX GUYS BECAUSE OUR JOBS ARE HARDER AND MUCH MORE DIFFICULT!

I'll leave you quite capable gentleman alone to deal with your issues and direct my energy towards mine.
