LEC 26 Recall Block 11 Rep???
Reported that a LEC 26 recall effort is on the agenda for MA, Block 11? I've searched the ALPA website and no luck finding anything. Can anyone confirm if that's on the agenda or not from an email sent out to those members?

I'll bet money it's Lutat that generated it. If wrong, it doesn't really matter. I wish our process identified the pilot that started the recall. It's called accountability.
This recall effort is a mistake but I respect the process. MA is a committed guy busting his butt to make things better under the duress of the apologists and weak sisters among us.
He's got the stones to call a spade a spade regardless of the fallout. Checks and balances are an integral part of any democracy. Contrarians are critical in the process.
I support MA 100%.

Totally bogus action. I am quite confident that many instructors agree with Mike's stance.
Agree or disagree with Mike. But he shows up and expresses his opinion, and that's what makes him a good leader

So there is an email, that says: "At the request of a Council 26 member in good standing, I have added a third Agenda Item to our special council meeting scheduled for Friday, October 16, 2015.
I look forward to having a strong turnout as we execute our union’s democratic process.
Mike"
When you look at the listed items, you see:
"3.Consideration of Recall of Seniority Block 11 Representative Captain Michael Arcamuzi"
So if any member is ****ed off at a rep's vote, they can just call for a recall? What bull$hit. Mike is a great guy who is dedicated and works his butt off. Whether one agrees with his vote or not is irrelevant. Does anyone know more of this story? This is absolutely ridiculous.

I think anyone in the block/LEC in good standing can ask to have an agenda item added.
Then, someone must make a motion to take it up (I assume the person asking to have the agenda added would do this).
Then someone must second it. If no one does, it dies. If seconded, then the motion/agenda item will be considered by every member PRESENT at the meeting.
Only the members at the meeting and any proxies they have (limited to 2) per member present, can vote. If they vote to recall, then the question goes out to the full block membership.
So, if you want to recall someone, it's easy to get it added, then if you and two buddies show up and that's the entire meeting attendance, it WILL pass and be sent out to the whole block. But, if people in that block see the agenda item and show up to counter the recall (with two proxies each), it will die a quick death because it will never make it out of the meeting. If block 11 doesn't want MA to be recalled, I would think just several have to show up with proxies to quash it. Attendance at these things generally are pretty low from what I hear.
Maybe that's why he asks for a strong turnout!
