Arrow See what changes & when in FDX CBA 2015

As Brad noted in another thread, bid award dates are changing. But that's not all that changes on DOS!! There are several other important items that you need to know about.

I took a few (actually, quite a few ) minutes to take the CBA Implementation Schedule and rearrange it according to the Phases of Implementation an then by contract section.

The proposed implementation dates are included at the end of the document. You will also note that several items are listed as TBD and quite a few have no implementation date .

I urge you to download and check out those sections that change on DOS in the CBA2015_ImplementByPhase PDF. This would probably be a good item to airdrop to your fellow pilots too.

It's nice to know somebody's thinking of public service.

My favorite item is CBA Order 133, Section 25, Paragraph 25.G.2.a.:

"Need Writing Committee Direction"

Also, the timeline doesn't reflect the changes made to our calendars BEFORE the vote even closed. And there are numerous substantial changes that are not reflected in the timeline at all.

I'm looking forward to seeing what happens when the new, "more modern" Alert Call rules result in a late departure from Mexico or Canada.

Thank you for putting that out, FlybyKnite. That must have taken a lot of effort. Now if I only knew what all of these new provisions meant, but I have a feeling that if I don't research each and every one of them, I'm going to learn the hard way!

Thanks for your public service FlybyKnite.

Nice to know those 1.5CH and 3CH penalties will not be implemented until phase 4, what a joke. My already low level of admiration for the NC, has been lowered yet again.

I see the phases, when do they start?

Is phase 4 the year before the contract ends?

LOL.

Phase 4 – November, 2016 Target/May, 2017 Deadline: Items included in this phase also require considerable development and testing effort, and coordination between many departments.

I would guess the 1.5CH and 3CH penalties won't kick in until the last day of May, 2017. We had so many "smart gives" indeed.

disruption via paylog still works,

it's the automatic disruption pay that will take some time

Thanks, my admiration of the NC is now restored to the level it was at before. My admiration of our IT department, not so much.

Some of the changes are easy, and some are wicked complex.

Have to wonder if CRS will be more likely to process a same footprint trade if called upon since it's just a matter of time

We can test that one out in December, when they put in ten airport/hotel standbys a day. I'm betting on, insufficient reserves, deny, deny, deny, for same footprint trades.
