Reserve conversion: gone or not?
If the new TA did away with reserve conversion, why is there still a "reserve conversion" worksheet?
Or, is this one of the many things that won't really take effect until a year from now?
Before you say, "call the union", I am on hold with contract administration as I type.

Just talked to CA. This turd gets worse and worse.
Reserve conversion will not go away until 8-12 months, AFTER the new PBS for secondary line holders is agreed to.
So, anyone bidding reserve over Christmas, better watch out for being involuntarily converted.

So, volunteer. Then ask for each Monday and Tuesday over peak off and Christmas week. Or, ask for exactly the days off you currently have on your reserve line if you like it. Volunteering for conversion in this way--It's the best protection against involuntary conversion, but you have to understand the contract to know this odd way of tying the company's hands.

Sorry, I spoke with someone who was voluntarily converted and they did not protect his requested days off. He asked why, they said it was a "request".
Oh, I'm sure you can grieve it...

I don't know what to say. The contract is very clear. Not wriggle room language like many things.
