Oh, I know. The Bus guys understand what a joke is, unlike all those Boeing tools. Just kidding!!!

Interesting comments from people about the 777, though, it kind of fits what I've heard. Some people just love it, saying they are so rested, and feel great. Others say it takes them forever to recover, and they are exhausted. It seems like it depends upon the person.

Can anyone give any insight on the typical trips out of MEM on the 767? Length/typical destinations, etc.

There is no typical trip. Generally, the 76 is probably the preferred aircraft for the longer domestic distances. Day and night hub turns out of Memphis to anywhere from Dallas to LA. I personally fly a lot of EWR to LAX day trips, but you could just as easily fly a LAX to AFW or OAK weeklong night hubturn pairing.

We've ordered so many of them that there really won't be any "typical" destinations. There's going to be a very wide range of trips.

Yes on most of the long haul trips you are now where near as fatigued as if you flew that same leg say on the MD11. Just remember that at the end of the flight your usually on the other side of the planet from your starting point.

Dumb question. If hired into an FDA, do they ask which you prefer, can you choose, can you turn one down for the other?

Trips range anywhere from 1 to 8 days. There are a lot of trips in the middle of that range. If I have to guess at an average length, I'd say 5-6 days is the average trip Domestically.

767 is doing a lot of East and West Coast Flying from Memphis. The Company is doing a good job of taking advantage of the fuel efficiency of the airplane.

The Bid Pack has a lot of layovers in Newark, JFK, Boston, Manchester, NH, Indianapolis, LAX, Phoenix and Oakland. Shorter legs are DFW, Atlanta, and Jacksonville. Bid Packs change monthly, but these cities are fairly regular.

Last I heard if they offered one, you could turn them down and wait for Memphis. I had a friend willing to go to CGN but not HKG. They offered HKG, he said no thanks and eventually was put in a class for MEM.

That was a couple of years ago though!

As a poolie that is hopeful classes will resume soon, I’m interested on what you would suggest in 2020. I know 767 deliveries continue for several more years. A310s are gone, MD10s are making their way out. 76 bid pack improved? 777 have more domestic flying? Thanks.
