A - B man eh?

A. Waldorf saw through it…late binge rant after a 20 hr. roadie. Far less embarrassing than countless other L/O indiscretions I assure you. My apologies.

B. In what manner does FDX not live up to its CBA?

Well, because you asked ... I think we should have a monthly pay cap (maybe 85 hours?). Any pay over that amount should go into a "bank" that you could choose to drop future trips against.

That would cure the "Wolf-Pack 100 hour/month club" and require Management to properly staff the airline. Two problems solved with just one easy fix!*?

As much as people would like to put the Wolfpack out of business, I doubt many would support a socialistic system that limits them to making 300K/year. And while everyone loves seeing newhhires, people coming in at the bottom doesn't do a thing to help many pilots. It's people coming off the top that they need.

If it was just the "wolf-pack" flying 100 hours per month, we would have ramped up hiring long ago.

I think you solution would be better implemented if we ever enter 4A2B again. That would help in spreading the wealth, as was the original intent of 4A2B.

Agreed about the Wolf Pack. If what they're doing is within the bounds of the CBA (apparently questionable), they should be able to make as much $ as they can.

New-hires are due to either retirements, or growth, or both. Pilots arriving at the bottom of the seniority list DO help everyone.

Hey, I'm just grumpy because I'm stagnant. People falling off the top of the list, off the bottom, some new ones coming in, but my list has been shrinking. For an expanding bid pack, more people are good. Of course, as a matter of principle, newhhires are great, though I guarantee you most people don't desire salary caps in order to hire more pilots. I'd take a salary cap if it would get people to retire, though! Or prevent another 4a2b or a furlough.

A benefit/curse of being mid-to-senior. ;)

You'd be a little more senior if those 5-ish guys who told me they were retiring last year, had ACTUALLY retired. I bring it up when I see them. :)

They did some of this in the hated despised total sell out new contract.

Yea Pipe, maybe one day the majority of our guys will understand what you are trying to say.

Some are p!ssed because they turned down draft while others picked it up. That is part of the deal....at least those turning it down did the right thing, IMO.

To me it is simple. No extra flying puts pressure on the Company. Big pressure. We have another month with AVA and voluntary vacation cancellation. Yes, no leverage.

If only we could give the Union the ability, like UPS, to say no extra.
