Default FDX-FX Cal Per Diem Information

Is FX Cal going to be updated for 2015 to compile the per diem summary like in previous years. Not that it really matters with the AMT , but I'd like to put in it my taxes regardless...

The 2015 capability is available on test flight. That means the "real" version will be out in a week or two as Apple does the app review and approval.

Does anyone know if this is the same (identical) information that you pay Pro Diem $50 for? I'm well within the AMT as well but I too want to include this info for my accountant.

What is the approximate AGI that AMT kicks in? I've never met it yet but with the bonus check and pay raise I think I probably met it last year

Are You Subject to the Limit?

You are subject to the limit on certain itemized deductions if your adjusted gross income (AGI) is more than $309,900 if married filing jointly or qualifying widow(er), $284,050 if head of household, $258,250 if single, or $154,950 if married filing separately. Your AGI is the amount on Form 1040, line 38.

Which Itemized Deductions Are Limited?

The following Schedule A (Form 1040) deductions are subject to the overall limit on itemized deductions.

•Taxes paid—line 9.

•Interest paid*—lines 10, 11, and 12.

•Gifts to charity—line 19.

•Job expenses and certain miscellaneous deductions—line 27.

•Other miscellaneous deductions—line 28, excluding gambling and casualty or theft losses.

I gave my per diem printout to my acct last year. He gave them back and said not to bother and to "save the ink next year".

I use Turbo Tax for my taxes. It figures out whether and how much AMT is due. No extra steps involved.

I do use the Per Diem recaps to figure out what my "substantiated per diem" is and add that in as an expense item.

I use turbo tax also. But I was wondering if I should spend the money on Pro-diem if it's not going to do me any good.

You can always run it with out the per diem. Turbo tax will tell you if you hit the AMT. If not then fork over the 50 bucks.

The per diem deduction is what may take you into the AMT!
