What is sad is people don't read the contract before voting on it and have no idea what is in it. It's not to hard to do, read what your Union provides you.

I agree with you that it is sad when people don't know what they're voting on. Heck, I would say nearly half of the people I fly with, don't even know who their block rep is. That's why it is even more important for our representatives to state only truths and facts, if they want to inform and educate their constituents through roadshows and youtube videos.

I myself, did know what was in the contract. And, I argued incessantly with people that obviously hadn't read the contract, had not run the numbers and only regurgitated things they had "learned" from attending a roadshow.

I do believe that it's very probable that 270 pilots might have voted differently had the T/A's gains not been misrepresented by our reps.

Would we have negotiated a better deal...Who knows? We never will know. And, it doesn't really matter now. But, the fact of the matter, and the gist of these guy's complaint is that it was, in fact, misrepresented by the people we entrusted.

I don't really care if I receive any compensation, should the pilots win this lawsuit. But, I do not ever want to see what this pilot group was exposed to happen again.

Even if they win you won't get any compensation but you will lose 5% of your bonus either way.

Yah, that, next year's raise, the B plan bump, one week of vacation and our dues will go up to 3.87%.
