Default 747-800 and 737 at FedEx?

Has anyone else heard the rumors of a 737 and 747-800 purchase in their respective travels around our system? I have heard these and a possible acquisition of Atlas to support the 747 training piece. Any Atlas acquisition seems far fetched to me, but what do I know.

Just this week I heard the rumor of 737's from an outside source. I thought he was crazy... but this second hearing of it is making me reconsider.

(And it's 747-8 )

I heard the 737 rumor from someone who knew someone in flight test.

Of course, everyone knows the bus drivers are a better source.

I was told some of our 757's have more time on them than the some of the 727's they replaced.

The 737 rumor seems to be centered on the 737 max.

I heard this and its true, FedEx is buying every DC-3 it can find and converting them to MD3's. They are going to be Anc based and first revenue run will be Anchorage to Barrow.

737-900ERs and A321s are replacing the 757 at the pax carriers, why not with cargo?
