Jeez this is the kind of stuff that kills us. So R&I - one of the cornerstones and you JUST got the info on insurance from the CBA u voted on 9 months ago? So how did you vote and in what basis? This stuff just kills me - we are a (reasonably) educated crew force but the guys that are about 1/4 in on their livelihood just kill us. Why couldn't we do better? Well here's an answer.

If you are healthy, and young, the ability for that HRA to grow tax deferred for years has great potential.

Numbers should be available for the various premiums in about 7 weeks. Don't think the company's HRA contribution is enough to wean me off the Buy Up plan, but I do plan to run the numbers and spend more time considering the pros/cons of the plans available to me

Ok. Didn't want to get into an insurance debate, we will all have the data soon and make our own individual choices. However, here's my take. If you read the CBA, our insurance cost are going up significantly and its built into the contract that they will continually go up. it's designed to make it cost prohibitive to stay on the Buy Up Plan. Like it or not, we will all be using the HRA option.

Tuck, people like you are why I stay away from this forum and won't come back. You draw conclusions from my simple statement that I just got the info on the HRA. Just FYI, I was referencing the flyer sent in the mail by the company. So yes I just received the flyer. As per the contract, I fully understood the health care section before I voted (no BTW, for other reasons, I actually like the HRA). So to sum up my post, Tuck your an idiot and I can't fix stupid, so I stopped dealing with people like you a long time ago, you just drag us down to your minuscule level. Good day.
