Nice! Could you please list your flight experience? All of my time is part 135. Wondering what will trigger an invite.

Aug 2006..."We will hire 800 pilots in the next 2 years"

7 months and 225 pilots later (Mar 2007) hiring abruptly stopped

21 months later (Dec 2008) we were "supposedly" 800 pilots overmanned

About 29 months later (May 2011) we finally started slowly hiring again

Moral of the story:

"We will hire 800 more pilots in the next 2 years"... ended up being about 250 pilots over 4 years & 8 months

In other words, Life ain't linear!

Default Corporate to FedEx

The best Corporate flying job will never match the pay nor retirement of what you can make here at FedEx !!! You will work HARDER here but the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow will be there waiting for you unless you do the dumb ass and get married and divorced several times in your career.
I started at FedEx Corporate, it was a super job but the $$$ was not there, reluctantly left it and came to the line haul to fly NIGHTS and never looked back .......... Daytime flying came around and all of a sudden it was a better deal than expected. That Corporate job will keep you from making a better living and they have you at THEIR disposal. Sure, you get a rental car and expense report for your meals and whatever but it never makes up for the lost $$$ you could have made on the line somewhere, especially here. And by chance if you are inclined to be a sky *****, you can do that here as well.

A couple of old friends slid over from their mil careers with ease, for good reason. Don't hear many 91 guys being hired.

Thanks.
I was offered an interview last summer at FedEx and my most recent position had been Part 91. I was CP of a corporate department for the previous 9 years, CP/DO/Check Airman 135 prior to that and regional in the late 90s. I had been trying to get on with FedEx for years with help from a couple friends. Then they emailed the interview offer when I was in indoc with another airline.

When I interviewed in 1996, we were told that "we would have 6000 by 2000"... still waiting...

I interviewed last year with 7500 TT. All 91 and 135. Biggest thing I've flown is DA2000 and CL30. About to hit 8000 TT and hoping for a second chance.

I had an opportunity to interview last fall, but passed on it because I was hired elsewhere. I was civilian, 7000 TT, most recently Pt 91 CP, previous 135 DO/CP/Check Airman. Previous 91K and 121 RJ FO
