Default Leather Jacket reimbursement

I'm reading the annual FCIF regarding uniforms and reimbursement. If I read this right, you can't split the cost of expensive uniform items over two years. Does anyone know different? I'm thinking of the new leather jacket, but other items sometimes go over our yearly limit. The the ability to spilt these expenses has been understood in past years. The CP seems to insinuate that our current CBA excludes this. I''ll just buy nicer shoes if I can't split the jacket expense over two years.

That's correct. New CBA doesn't allow reimbursement across two years.

Not a paid endorsement but I'm in the process of ordering a new jacket with the Bomcrewmall folks. I chose to have it personally fit rather than off the rack. Aniel is the guy who coordinates the ordering process including QCing measurements etc. His attention to detail and engagement is outstanding. If the jacket is made with the same personal attention as he's provided in our email exchanges, it's going to be worth every penny. Even if I can't spread the expense over two years.

Aggravating, the guy at the uniform shop said we could split the jacket. So I bought some shirts and other stuff. Wouldn't have done that till next year, if I'd known. Oh well.

How do you buy one anyway, company credit card and they deduct the overage from pay?

If you get it from the uniform shop, you basically just tell them who you are and some information, I think you might have to show ID. No charge card required, they just direct bill it and deduct the overage from your pay. I'm assuming it just shows up on your non travel expense report.

Just a heads up... when I talked to the uniform store guy about leather jackets he knew nothing about them. The uniform store doesn't handle them anymore. You have to order them online. Use your company credit and you'll have a receipt emailed to you. Then just file it like you do a physical.
