How many hours do you typically log? Would you recommend building time at FlexJet to get to a major?

It depends on the fleet but the challenger is a great plane to build time on. I have buddies on the challenger flying around 100 hours a month while the phenom is not anywhere close to that.

thats not how it works. The “bases” are just locations with airports so they can fly you on your first day to wherever the plane is. So, you might live in Dallas, but the plane you’re going to is in Seattle. So first day, you’ll get on an American Airlines flight (or whatever company) and go to Seattle. Then you’ll take an Uber to whatever airport the plane is at. And off you go on your tour.

Does your pay credits start when you get to wherever the plane is at? Or to your home base airport?

Agreed, however I know an operator(s) that deadheads you on their own equipment whenever they can…and it’s a wide empty space where seats once sat

With PBS bidding. I saw where people can 5 on 4 etc. What would be the chances or likelihood someone could bid something like weekends off. I'm a 121 Regional FO looking with the ability to hold weekends off now. The reason for the weekends off are due to my wife working weekends at a hospital and we have a young one at home. I like my schedule that I can hold but the commuting on days off to and from work waste a whole 24 hours that I could have at home as well as the cost of an additional expense of a crashpad are getting old. Just curious if my thought of moving to FlexJet with a paid commute (I live in a FJ base) would be doable with a schedule that we are trying to keep right now.

If you're looking for every weekend off? Is it possible? Maybe. Realistic? Highly doubtful. Reliable? Not a chance.
