Adding a HNL base or at least allow it as a home base would bring in a number of experienced pilots.
Commuting on your own to a 7/7 or 8/6 or 15/13 schedule would take too much time to make it worth it.
One can hope :-)

Netjets now have 224 home based airports, including four in Alabama compared to Flexjets two. Flexjet has 112ish home based airports open to new hires. If there pilots can get to work from 224 airports certainly Flexjet pilots can do the same. Hopefully one day Flexjet will follow suit to make quality of life just a little bit better.
And actually, seemed a bit miffed that I had asked in the first place. But told me she would get back to me on it. 2 days later I got the TBNT.
So, how do they do that? Offer a home base with no airline service at all? Uber?

I had asked about that in the NJ Zoom call, how they could include airports that had no airline service at all, and she had no answer.

KCRQ has no airline service.
Why is it listed and how does that work if there is no airline service?
KCRQ isn't list as a home based airport for FJ, so there would be no reason for me to ask that question in the first place.

Let me rephrase my question.. One of their home Base airports listed is KCRQ. My home base according to NJ.
KCRQ has no airline service.

We don’t do that. Although if you’re EWR based you could expect to park at EWR then rent a car or Lyft from there to JFK/TEB/LGA etc.
Yes it would be convenient to list TEB as domicile but that’s now how we operate.

Ok I see what you’re saying now. To answer your question, even though it’s moot at this point, NetJetters park their car at domicile and then travel from domicile to airline domicile is on company dime. FWIW I imagine you get screwed badly on day 1. 3am wake up. Drive to CRQ. Uber to SAN for a 6am flight. Sounds great!

How, with no airline service? Logistically, the only way to make that work is like you said. Definitely easier to just drive or Uber to SAN.
That's why my hopes are for FJ. Common sense. Was fun playing though..
