Upgrade to DRL or ILC and never be truly off the clock again without jeopardizing your bonus pay. Gotta keep the storefront manned at all times, after all.

What happens when the music stops? You could get stuck with that sucktacious QOL for a long time. So why not push to have it fixed now? That's not really "bit**ing" so much as holding the company to its core principle of employees as the foundation of a service company and building long term relationships.

Which is why I only calculate my base pay and never plan on a bonus. They can change it on a whim and poof, it's gone. If I do get a bonus, then it's a nice surprise and I'm never leashed to my work phone.

Interesting as this is the NEW Company Mantra sent out by email. To tell me to stop Bit**ing is EXACTLY what I said, the company would prefer to use the STICK approach vs. the carrot approach, thank you for proving my point! (Im guessing you are in recruiting). Company is all about stats and they know most employees leave within 3 years (as you have heard). Telling me to stop bit**ing and stay around for 3 years does not solve the problem. Make the life BETTER for those on property under 3 years and they will stay here without being beaten with a stick. There are a lot of pilots who are SICs on all fleets and PICs on Phenoms that ABSOLUTELY hate the bidding system. Just give people what they bid for within reason and its the best system out there. The company has literally took what could be an absolute SELLING feature of Flex and turned it into a reason not to come. The recent email telling employees to focus on "what happens after PBS" is EXTREMEMLY disheartening, they have basically have told everyone on PBS, this is the best it gets. I wanted to hang on to see the PBS improve to what it could be, instead, I am interviewing for a 91 gig, with lower pay, but better schedule because THAT is what is important to me. Scheduling people for requested days off, having them call in sick (and telling them to wash their hands more), is the example of the pilots using the stick approach to the company. Its a good company but QOL means time with family, especially on important days.

I have flow with 2 former FlexJet pilots who are now at NetJets. They hated the seniority bidding and left because of it. They are both on 7/7 and love it. Even though FlexJet has a 8/6, I didn't know you couldn't be on it right away.

Plan on 10 hrs of rest, with 3-5 legs spread out over 14 hrs of duty, each day of your rotation. Anything less than that you'll be pleasantly surprised.
