Neither, CFII written is just your instrument written again. I did mine yesterday w/o a study course and it was easy. Just know your instrument stuff!

Sheppard Air! The CFII prep is condensed from the IRA test. There are much fewer questions to study. Sheppard Air is worth the investment for all knowledge tests! It's a test prep not a ground school so for some reason people get all upset because its just rote learning. Use it, pass written, then do your ground school.

Good Luck!

I completely disagree.

Instead, I would recommend Sheppard.

I've had good luck with ASA's textbooks and practice test. But I have heard good things about Sheppard.
