Reduced A320 Type Rating near LA
Hi,
Can anyone recommend a training center I can take a reduced A320 type rating course near LA?
I plan on taking the ATP-CTP course with PanAm in Las Vegas. I wanted to take the 320 course with AeroStar in Florida, but my husband wants me somewhere closer to LA so we can be together (I’m only visiting for a month).
Background info: ICAO license holder currently flying the 320 looking to convert license to an FAA.

Took my A320 type rating course with K&S Aviation
Company offices in the Phoenix area

- 80 hours of CBT home study, followed by
- 11 days of classroom & simulator in Las Vegas

CBT program (from a third party vendor) was both tedious, and of marginal quality
Supplemental study and oral preparation using this Red Triangle product on my MacBook Pro
Airbus A320 Study Guide & Aircraft Systems Manual
and this product on my iPhone

was sufficient to show up for training feeling well prepared
Once in Las Vegas, all excellent in every respect
Both instructor and TCE were former America West / American Airlines, knowledgeable and professional in every way
Sophie (wife of the K&S owner) fields all inquiries and correspondence
She will likely be helpful with tailoring a course that meets your license conversion needs
