That definitely seems high for a Part 61 Commercial (SE+ME), CFI, and CFII. Even if they are charging very high rates for their aircraft, I'd think an absolute top dollar would be around $35k including checkrides, books, supplies, and everything.

Seems like a lot for a school in the midwest. Also there will be weather delays in that area, but that inconvenience might be OK if the student can live at home.
If this includes a ME rating and MEI, that would be more reasonable.

There is quite a large discussion on LIFT in the Republic section of the forum. The consensus seems to be that it isn't as good a deal as first advertised. I'm in a similar situation to your daughter and I turned them down and will continue progressing at my local school.
