ATL Instructor Wanted: 30-day IFR Training
Looked at some accelerated programs, but I feel I would be better off using a local CFI to take a month flying five days a week to really create good habits.
Am looking for an instructor with a decent amount of actual IMC, and with rhyme and reason to their instruction (AKA - some structure). Plan to knock out written prior to beginning instruction. Would love someone who can create checkride like scenarios at the end of each week of training so the actual checkride is a breeze.
I have my own plane that is IFR certified. Last transponder/static check completed in August.

Good luck finding someone local! I am asked almost weekly for a recommendation of a good independent specialized IFR CFI around ATL. Most are just to busy to accommodate an accelerated type schedule. I would just get a company like PIC to send a CFII to you to get it knocked out ASAP. It honestly would probably save you money in the long run.
If you do find one please let me know.

You are not going to find a CFII out there with nothing to do ready to take an accelerated student. That's just not a thing anymore. There are accelerated programs out there that do this, but finding an independent CFI that can give you the attention you need is very hard these days.

Hi,
I am CFI/CFII working in Atlanta out of PDK and RYY. We just finished working on an accelerated (approx. 10 days) instrument program for a gentleman in his own airplane.
Please feel free to reach out to me via PM if you'd like to chat!

Hello
Sorry for the necrothread but one cant create a new topic when new on the forums.
I'm looking for a flight school in the Atlanta area to do an IPC. Anyone has recommendation for a good school that has some sort of sim (redbird/frasca style, I have a lot of rust to remove first), a twin for the "checkride" and instructors who have IMC time ?
Thanks for your inputs
