Advice needed please! Charlotte, NC
Hey all, I wanted to ask anyone for their opinion on which route to take.
I'll be married in March 2020 with the opportunity from my Fiancee (who is a registered nurse) to start my flight training. Here are the two roads I can take and also some pros and cons.
Goal: Fly for PSA than to American Airlines. Since I live in Charlotte, this would be the best-case scenario for my future family.
Road 1: Part 61 FlyCarolina. Probably finish from zero time to CFI in 3 years. Build hours to 1500 a get hired by a regional. Estimated time with this route would be roughly 5 years to hit regionals. Pros would be not taking out a loan. Cons would be wasting time as the pilot shortage gets solved sooner or later.
Road 2: Part 141 Academy of Aviation. 8-10 Month zero to Hero program. Costing about $80,000. Get hired as a CFI and build time. Estimated time for this route would be 2 yearish. Pros would be getting to the aviation field faster and building seniority. Cons would be having $80,000. (My Fiancee and I have school debt as well.)
Any inputs or tips on this problem? Any answer or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Life is a struggle at the bottom of a Regional with $120k+ of debt.
One hiccup and it’s bankruptcy.
My suggestion is to delay your flight training by a year. In this year both absolutely work your asses off to reduce the school loans before you get further in debt.
Save 10k so you can bang out your Private without delay then sit around the kitchen table to decide how you will proceed. 0-CFI can be done in 6 months full time which means 12 -
14 months part time if you’re dedicated.
Do not....do NOT dunk yourselves in debt for the “almighty” seniority list.
