Smile the real issue...

Everett,

There will always be jobs for pilots. Notice I didn't say high paying jobs. Forget about the B.S. "Mass-retirement" propaganda. There are way too many pilot mills for a shortage to occur. If you really like flying don't worry about jobs, worry about your debt. Listen to the number #1 complaint on all of these forums: "Our pay sucks." If you are debt free you can live on the smaller wages that the industry is paying. You might even be happy.

Shift your focus to flying for fun. Fly cargo, flight instruct, fly for the Military but remain debt free. I certainly should have.
