Default 737 Type Rating

An old friend of mine, a retired corporate pilot, wants to get a 737 type rating just because. Is there a good, reputable and quality outfit that offers the 737 type rating? Back in the day, when I got mine, it was Higher Power, but they're no longer in business.

Thank you.

Your mate can look at Pop Belgians Flying Service if your mate is looking for a type rafting as a type rating collectior. There are reputable providers out there who will provide for services your are looking for. Don't be insulted.... just saying

He can apply to Sun Country or Southwest if he is below age 65 and get it for free

Higher Power was bought out by Avenger Flight Group. If they aren't busy with dry leases right now because airline hiring is slow they might offer a decent deal. Another option is Pan Am in Miami or Vegas.

Of all the types s/he could get, they want to fly this bag of ass?

Counter option: take 1/5 of the money, learn to fly seaplanes, and actually have some fun.

Higher Power was bought by ATP Flight School to create ATP Jets. They do A320 types and the CTP program but no Boeing types. Avenger just owns and maintains a bunch of sims they rent out to various airlines, they're not a 142 school.
