Default CRJ Training Aids

Any suggestions/comments/experiences with either of these ?? I'm looking for the best interactive software package that will help me learn the CRJ systems as well as learning the cockpit (FMS etc.). I plan on playing with the MS FS CRJ add-on ( by Wilco) but also want something a little more sofisticated. Both of these look pretty good.

The aerosim software is good. We had to use it in class, and it can be a beast. I would find someone to help you work through the procedures, as the FMS can be a little unfriendly at times. Costs about 200 bucks if I remember correctly.

The Aerosim is better than the Wilco stuff, but not $200 better. You are probably more likely to create bad habits for yourself if you do to much outside of the class instruction. The Wilco thing is probably adequate unless you want to work on flows and really need moving synoptic pages and the like.

Also the crjstudyguide.com book is not worth the money either in my option. It is simply the manual in a question and answer form.

Might check out:

Default www.crj2.com Website

the www.crj2.com website says its down for "security reasons" - does anyone know if there is a newer, more secure site with the same info. Or, does anyone know or have the files that were on the website they could email [email protected] Thanks!
