Default Atp Cfi Program

....Discontinued

Went from customers, to future workers, to none.
Weird.

So, you can't get your CFI at ATP anymore unless you do the ACPP program?

You can still do addons though! Probably for the best.

Hmm. I was holding out hope of using ATP for CFI initial, but I guess that option is history. They must have decided that the few CFI initials that stayed on to work there weren't worth the drain on resources any more. How times change!

Any suggestions for the next best thing? I was looking at going to ATP for my CFI in December. I'm bummed. Looking at Sheble, but would like to hear first hand experiences about this or other accelerated CFI programs.

I've been asking some of the flight schools around here. Even though there is a shortage I have been told by more then a few people that they will not hire CFI's trained through ATP. Most FBO's and flight schools are not fans of CFI's that went through the accelerated program, as they have a history of losing flight students directly related to the Instructors inability to teach them.

Well, I will prolly not hear the end of it, but I did it at sheble back in sept., really wasn't that bad. Wasn't easy either. I would say go for it, they will get you done, but be prepared to take an extra day or two. pm me if you have any other questions.
If you don't cut yourself short of the knowledge, you will be fine. If you go down there without doing any prior studying, its going to be a lot harder.

Also had to do with the poor quality of the CFI school they offered, people failing, and people wanting their money back.

I had a friend do Sheble's about 4 years ago and had no complaints. The price is right. It's quick. But you need to go in with a lot of advance preparation. I'm sure if you call them, they will tell ya what you need to know.
