need help "learning instruments"
Im working on my instrument rating and was wondering what is the best way to go about it. Should i buy a dvd from kings or just stick with the books only. Just trying to find the best way learning it.

Check out the FAA website. Get the Pilot's Handbook of Aeronautical Knowledge, Instrument Flying Handbook, and Instrument Procedures Handbook. They're all in PDF format, and because they're government documents they're absolutely FREE. Don't waste your money on King.

I'm cheap, so I wouldn't spend the money unless I needed to. You could see if a friend has a set of DVDs if they've finished their rating. That or check with a fellow student that just finished. The FAA books are good resources too and should be a part of your info.

Don't laugh but use the books and to practice the flying get MS FlightSimulator 2004 or 2006. The reality of it is one thing but you can practice the procedures. Helped with my interview here.

Get MSFS X. I have been using all of them since 98' when I was a young lad. They help, more than you think. Not good for PPl or CPL, but decent for IR. The GPS that come stock is not the best, but other than that its a great training tool.
