Ok, I have checked with my sources and confirmed the history of the Blue Moose.
It was originally a bar called the "Great Northern" that struggled and never made any money. In a last ditch effort to bring in coustomers, it went topless. (as topless as you legally can E.G.F, MN....aka..."pasties") That business plan did not work either. It was soon sold to new owners and re-opened as what we all know as the Blue Moose.
So now you know...
Put that away in the useless trivia file.

I am yet another grad '01 who had the honor of knowing FlyerJosh.
Sorry to hear about the windchills last week in GFK. At least the snow should start to melt in another few months!
Are the rumors true with regards to a King Air, Mustang and two Diamond Jets? Are they being used like the two Beechjets 400A's were for the China guys named Roy, Chuck, George and the other american names they choose?
What's the fleet like now?

Yeah the rumors are true, I have to walk by the King Air every morning on my way out to Bravo apron, it sucks..the mustang is on its way, and haven't heard anything about the Diamond Jets but it wouldn't suprise me if those are on the way now too. Rumor has their trying to land an Army contract which would bring in a few more King Air's. As of now we are on pipers mainly...Warrior III's both 6 pack and Glass with the entegra...Arrows for 323, Seminole's for 325, and then option of doing CFII in the cirrus or on the glass warriors... They equipped the entire fleet with ADS-B as a test bed for the FAA and the thing is pretty sweet. The chopper guys have schweizers (sp?) and a few Jetrangers...still got the decath's for aerobatics and the top cub for float...would love to stay but the Sioux are playin the U of Minnesota golden weenies tonight...we beat'm last night in OT were 3rd in the country right now! happy flying

The kingair is only being leased and is only used for the air china students. I have also heard the mustang and the 2 D-jets will be here sometime in march but who knows with two brand new aircraft just starting production.

It is a King Air 200, they were looking at leasing a 90 but found this instead. CLAU, JPAL (Jeff Palmer), and RCAR (Ryan Carlson) are flying the King Air right now. The Mustang is supposed to be here in Oct and the D-Jets are supposed to be after that. There is also plans in the future to buy a King Air depending on the length of the contract with Air China.

Hey guys maybe this topic can help answer a few questions (please no flaming ><). So I am currently enrolled at the ERAU Prescott Campus, and truth be told I am hating it. I have been seriously considering transferring to UND after the end of this semester and was wondering if I could get some insight on the school.
Seeing as many of you are post graduates, was it easy to find jobs in the industry upon graduation? Does UND have a lot of internship and co-op programs available to the students? Also, is it possible to fly through the school while doing an non-flight related degree program? And if so, is it possible to get flight costs covered under school tuition so that student loans may be used?
Please I am hoping to avoid sprouting a flame war between the two schools and would just like some facts from past students and I thank you all for taking the time to read this.
