Where exactly in NE OH??? The flight school I am at is in Western New York and they have a Duchess to build time with and a program for it. Its less than a two hour drive from Ashtabula. I think it comes to around $100 an hour. Let me know if you want more info.

Good luck here in the next few weeks without FIKI
. I don't know all the options, but a few: T&G has a 310 at LNN, Skypark has a Geronimo, AKR has a Seneca 2, I just saw that Capital City at OSU has a Twin Commanche (probably better wx there as well until the lake freezes). I think there's an Aztec at CGF as well, but not sure.

Iam looking to get my multi and build time. I live in Rochester, NY and would love to get time around here and not have to travel south. Forgive me for asking but Iam new to this, but when two people split the time how does that work? Does one fly under the hood and the other is the safety pilot both log the time and split the cost in half? What about insurance and getting checked out in the plane. Most places will not even let you take a complex up b/c of insurance how will they let you take up a multi? Any help on places around here to get it done would be great. I was thinking about going to Multi action ratings to get the rating but would need another place for the time.....any help would be great!

That is correct.
"What about insurance and getting checked out in the plane."
You're best bet is to do your multi at a place that will let you use the plane for timebuilding. Let's say they require 20 hours to rent. You could spend that whole time getting your ME and then meet the reqs for their insurance. It's a costly way to do it, but a school that trains you and has worked with you often gets you a break on the insurance. But, yeah, the insurance thing can be a problem. If you need 25 multi to meet the insurance mins, you'll need to do that dual before you can timebuild.
