do most flight schools require you to have done calculus before you recieve their degree? Or do most only require college algebra?

Depends on the college. Our school required College Algebra ...

Wait, wait, wait....a flight school that confers a degree??!! Are you sure you don't mean a graduation certificate.

If you're talking about college, I can tell you for sure Eastern Michigan University makes you take calc.

Calculus is SO much easier than algebra anyway. IMHO, even if you're not required to take calc, do it anyway.

No flight school requires any math requirements other than assuming you have the ability to perform basic arithmatic.

Now if you're talking about a college or university flight program, then perhaps each program has a set amount of math classes you'll need to pass before graduation.

But no flight school located on an airport gives a hoot about calculus.

Yeah I agree there, I failed almost all of the high school algebra but passed 100% of the calculus

That's interesting considering that Algebra is one of the building blocks in Calculus. Granted it does make some tedious Algebra problems simpler...

Yeah, most universities will make you take Cal I and maybe an applied Calculus class. No FBO is going to require that though.
