Default Regional Airline Academy

Has anyone heard of Regional Airline Academy based in Central Florida? I went to visit them in '06 and was impressed by their facility, but I recently heard a rumor from ATP, which is a competing school, that they went out of business and screwed a bunch of students out of their money. I felt like the rep at ATP was blowing smoke up my ass, so I would attend ATP instead. Is there any truth to this?

You should avoid both schools. Either is way over priced! The search function is your friend.

Don't do it!!!!! Local flight school is the way to go. Every professional aviator on this board will say the same thing.

RAA has an extensive reputation for being bad news. If they really went Tango Uniform, that would be great.

I work with aboot 7 guys that would love to burn the place down (OK, not quite, but close).

Avoid!!! Go to an aviation university, your local FBO or a technical school/community college.

don't go to RAA. Local flight training is best if possible.

Thanks for tips guys. I paid them a visit in August of 06'. I was impressed with their equipment and the sales rep did a really good job at impressing me and making me excited about flying but the school was 75k and really over my budget.
